Scope of Work
Drone chassis design / Deflection test / Topology optimization
Tools
Autodesk Fusion 360
This project is my diploma work within the Autodesk University's parametric design program. The task was to design and test, using software tools, a fully functional drone, encompassing the calculation and selection of all electronic components.
I opted for a quad-rotor concept, as it has proven to be the most optimal in terms of balancing stability, maneuverability, and payload capacity.
In line with the dimensions, suitable motors were selected from those available on the market.
Considering flight stability as the primary characteristic, the diagonal distance between the rotors was set at 30cm, with a 40cm spacing between the outer edges of the rotor frames.
To ensure active flight for 10 minutes, a battery kit was chosen with an acceptable weight and sufficient capacity.
