The seeds of plants I discovered in Cambodia, as they grow and dry, give rise to intricate yet geometrically perfect forms. They have proven to be an endlessly fascinating subject for studying shapes and finding inspiration.

The design is rooted in a geometric principle, akin to the curvature of Earleaf Acacia pods. This principle dictates the unique curly shape, enabling it to be fashioned as a single surface without the need for fasteners or additional supporting structures.

An attempt was made to realize the functionality and ergonomics of the armchair by using one single plane which will maximum corresponds the mathematically predictable laws of shaping.

The final design features a visually seamless sheet of polished, anodized iron, 5mm thick, delicately rolled into an elegant flower using a press. While visually continuous, for technical achievement, several segments are produced separately and then connected through welding, with the seams meticulously disguised.
